Gone are the days of relative anonymity for supercross sensation Chad Reed.
A household name in the US, Reed’s basing himself in the Hunter as he takes on the Australian circuit, and it seems his fame has finally filtered back home.
NBN reporter Jess Phillis caught up with the world champion at his family’s Kurri property.

My son D is a great fan of yours and watching a lot of motorx and waits to see if your racing especially on foxtel and he also is doing a school project on you and your career, once he finishes this piece on cardboard he wants to place on his wall. He does have a moto himself a kx65 which is a little faster than his old one. He has the potenital to push himself and the confidence to become a good rider. No hesitation to jump or try different things as he has a older brother that enjoys riding his moto- kx thumpster, also riden kx 125, so if you have any handy hints to help them both with this sport could you pass this on!!!!!!!!!
