SURFEST SUCCESS FOR ANDERSON

Merewether teenager Philippa Anderson has become the first home grown board rider to win a main event at Newcastle Surfest.

South Africa’s Travis Logie claimed the men’s MR Pro but all eyes were on Anderson who carried all the local hopes – and won.
