Nathan Tinkler’s bid to buy the Newcastle Knights remains on track, with further talks held between the two parties today.
The Knights told NBN that today’s meeting was a positive one and they believe a detailed proposal can be structured in time for a members vote sometime in March.
At least a 75 per cent majority of voting members must be in favour of the Tinkler Sports group offer before the deal can be secured.
The mining magnate has guaranteed $10-million a season for the next 10 years.

this is the best deal i have ever heard of. i am totally behind the deal. i have known leigh maunghn for some i even built his home in wallsend many moons ago wen the knights were first kicking off. go knights neil collins
