It’s been revealed the V8 Supercars board ordered the event’s bosses to cutback on contractor spending in this year’s Gold Coast 600.
All but two agreed to the reduced costs, renowned sports promoter Brett Murray one of those walking away from a long-standing relationship with the race.

I read with interest the internet headline regarding the “Sports Promoter crushed in V8 cost cutting measures” and wondered if you would be able to send me the full details of your article. I have been unable to locate it on the NBN News website. I look forward to hearing from you quite urgently – our local government in New Zealand is considering funding the V8’s in Pukekohe with ratepayers money and I would like to be able to present them with an argument against doing so.
