MAGIC COMEBACK SEES BROADMEADOW BACK ON TOP IN NBN STATE LEAGUE

NBN STATE LEAGUE
Round 16

WESTON 1 – SOUTH CARDIFF 1
CHARLESTOWN CITY 4 – LAKE MACQUARIE 3
BROADMEADOW 3 – VALENTINE 1

A goal late in stoppage time has handed Weston a one-all draw with South Cardiff in the NBN State League.
In other games, the Blues edged out Lake Macquarie and the Magic returned to top spot with a win over Valentine.
Sitting in last, the visitors took an unexpected lead inside three minutes, as Luke Barnier teed up Ashley Balcomb.
Valentine’s defence only had itself to blame as Daniel Casciaroli combined with Brady Parker to make it one-all.
The Magic picked up where it left off after the break, Chris Berlin earning a penalty, calmly converted by striker Peter Haynes.
Haynes then turned provider, as his sublime pass set up Parker for his second of the game.
