The Newcastle Jets have welcomed their latest recruit, with Equadorian striker Edson Montano taking part in his first training session this morning.
The 23-year-old signed with the club six weeks ago, but complications with his visa held up his arrival.
Speaking through a translator – fellow teammate Marcos Flores – Montano told NBN News he’s looking forward to the challenge.
He’ll join the Jets for a preseason tournament in Townsville this weekend, but at this stage it’s unclear how much gametime he’ll receive.
