Nathan Tinkler’s Hunter Sports Group has confirmed it will sell the Newcastle Jets.
The announcement comes after the former billionaire parted ways with his NRL club, the Newcastle Knights.
In a statement, Jets Chief Executive Robbie Middleby said it was business as usual for the club.
“Until the change of ownership is complete, we will continue to execute our plans in preparation for the 2014-15 season.
“We look forward to securing new owners and moving forward with this new chapter.”
Earlier this year, the FFA sold the Western Sydney Wanderers to a consortium, in a deal reported to be worth $10-million.
