19-year-old Robbie Paratore will begin a trial with the Newcastle Jets on Monday, as he searches for a new club.
The Australian-born midfielder has previously captained Leicester City FC’s youth team during a two-year stint in the UK.
Meanwhile negotiations are continuing to secure a new owner for the Jets, after Hunter Sports Group announced it intends to sell the club.
