Nine people have been charged with various drug and firearm-related offenses after a series of raids on the mid north coast.
Detectives from Strike Force Dara searched five properties in the Kempsey area yesterday, following an investigation into illicit drug supply and illegal firearms.
Officers allegedly seized methylamphetamine, cannabis, MDMA, cash and firearms.
Six men and three women are facing more than 70 charges in total.
Detective Superintendent Paul Fehon says the raids are the culmination of six months of dedicated police work, but there’s more to come.
“While a significant amount of illicit drugs and illegal firearms have been taken off the streets of the Mid North Coast, today’s arrests are by no means the end of Strike Force Dara investigations, which will continue.”
