WEATHER UPDATE: NOVEMBER HEATWAVE

Extremely hot desert air is on its way, pushing the mercury towards the 40s across the North West Plains to the Hunter.

The MNC will also feel the heat, along with the inland areas of the Northern Rivers. Sea breezes will help fan the coastal communities.

Friday night will be very hot before a slow moving change moves in across the Hunter on Saturday triggering some wet weather, but the fall will generally be quite small.

Further north, Saturday will be the hottest day for north east New South Wales. South east Queensland will feel the heat all weekend.
