THOUSANDS OF BATS PERISH IN HEATWAVE

Wildlife volunteers are trying to rescue hundreds of baby flying-foxes, fighting for their lives, following last weekend’s heatwave.

Close to 3000 animals have already perished in Casino’s CBD, with the death toll expected to rise.
