Homes and cars weren’t the only property damaged in last week’s fierce storm in the Hunter.
A Jetstar A320 plane, which was parked inside a maintenance hangar at Newcastle Airport in Williamtown, got blanketed in foam after water damage set off a foam fire retardant sprinklers.
The aircraft is out of service until it’s been completely washed down and had its flight components checked.
Fortunately the engines escaped unscathed.
