The first sod has been turned on Coffs Harbour’s newest tourist attraction.
Work is about to commence on a $1.6-million water park at the famous Big Banana.
The new park will include a 96-metre long slide and a raft ride spanning more than 100-metres.
Management says the Big Banana will remain in its traditional spot, despite the major development.
Construction should be completed by September.
