A 68-year-old woman has lost her life, after being hit by a vehicle at the Stockton breakwater.
The woman, who was visiting from Byron Bay, was on the breakwater at around 4:30 yesterday afternoon when she was struck by a Toyota Hilux utility.
The 30-year-old driver and witnesses came to the woman’s aid, but she was unable to be revived.
The driver has undergone mandatory blood and urine tests.
