FFA ON THE HUNT FOR NEW JETS COACH

Football Federation Australia has let go Newcastle Jets coach Phil Stubbins.

The decision follows a review of the team’s performance this season and was also driven by the local community’s push for a new beginning at the club.

“Phil is a decent football man and we wish him all the best with the next stage of his career,” said Head of the A-League, Damien de Bohun.

The FFA is now on the hunt for a new head coach, who will also be tasked with selecting assistant coaching staff.

The development comes after the FFA revoked the Jets’ A-League licence last week, which was owned Nathan Tinkler.
