Two people have been seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash along the Pacific Highway near Nabiac.
The male driver from Tuncurry was travelling south at around 8am, when his car left the road and crashed into a tree.
He suffered internal injuries, while his female passenger broke her leg.
The pair – both aged in their 30s – were airlifted to Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital for treatment.
Police believe the driver may have been under the influence of drugs at the time.
