DEFENCE CLEARS 15 WATER BORES OF CONTAMINATION

There’s some good news for residents of Port Stephens affected by a chemical spill, with the Department of Defence clearing 15 water bores of contamination.

In a statement to NBN News, the department says the results of 17 bores have been provided to residents and businesses, with 15 bores showing no sign of the contaminant.

A further 41 sites are currently under analysis.

Meantime, the community will hold a meeting at Salt Ash Church Hall tonight, to discuss its next move.
