COMMUNITY GARDEN POISONED

Just days after opening, the Warners Bay Community Garden at Eleebana has been destroyed.

Shrivelled plants are all that remain at the site, which officially opened on Sunday. It’s believed the garden beds were laced with poison.

It comes after a controversial approval process to have the garden established.

Community Garden volunteers have raised concerns about anybody who may have picked the plants for eating in the meantime.

Hopefully a garden centre, Bunnings or the likes will donate new plants..
