The Wollombi Brook at Bulga is rising faster than expected, with major flooding current and river levels rising.
Flood waters from Wollombi Brook and other tributaries are expected to cause minor to moderate flooding along the Lower Hunter River.
Minor flooding is current at Maitland and Raymond Terrace.
River heights at Bulga are predicted to reach 5.1-metres later today, while at Maitland at the Belmore Bridge it’s expected to reach 7-metres and cause minor flooding.
Moderate flood levels are expected at Raymond Terrace later this afternoon.

Thanks Gavin Morris for the lovely weather, it plays hell with walking the dogs,( miniature dachshund s).
I’m trying to work out if I should fit them with mud flaps or wetsuits!
