Queensland’s Kevin Higson has taken out the Summerland Singles bowls tournament at Ballina, after a 21-17 win against Sean Ingham yesterday evening.
Organisers say it was the strongest field in the tournament’s 56-year history, with 128 lawn bowlers contesting the five day event.
Alan Abbott and Ballina local Alf Boston claimed the title in the pairs.
