Brisbane based yacht, Runaway, has take out the inaugural Coffs Harbour to Southport yacht race.
Runaway was one of six yachts in the field which left Coffs Harbour yesterday morning.
With the benefit of a stiff southerly wind to push them north, all boats covered the 138 nautical mile course in good time.
Runaway made the journey in a shade under 17 hours, finishing three hours ahead of second placed Ocean Gem.
The third home was Brisbane yacht Frantic.
