Embattled businessman Nathan Tinkler has quit his roles as CEO of Australia Pacific Coal, a day after being declared bankrupt.
Lawyers for the former billionaire have 21 days to lodge an appeal, after GE Commercial won its Federal Court case over money owed from the sale of his private jet.
In a statement, Australia Pacific Coal chairman Peter Ziegler says while Mr Tinkler can no longer remain at the helm, he’ll continue to offer advice.
Mr Tinkler only recently helped the company secure funds to acquire Anglo American’s Dartbrook mine in the Hunter Valley.
