Police have charged two soccer fans and fined 40 others – as they travelled by train between the Central Coast and Sydney.
Two officers were attacked as supporters made their way to and from Gosford, while bottles and rubbish were left strewn across the carriages.
Sydney FC says it may take action against any members who might have been involved.
