Just one game in the NPL today, with Edgeworth getting the win over the Lambton Jaffa’s 2 -1 at Arthur Edden Oval.
Lambton opened the scoring and looked like causing an upset against the competition favourites with a goal early in the second half to John Majurovski.
But the Eagles showed their class, pegging a goal back a short time later through Ayden Brice.
They finished the job when Kanu Moore trickled one into the back of the net.
A winning start for former Central Coast Mariner Daniel McBreen in his return to the Eagles.
