Hundreds working on the Pacific Highway upgrade are set to call Woodburn home, after Richmond Valley Council approved a temporary workers village in the town.
278 single accommodation rooms will be built on a block of land on the corner of Richmond and Duke streets.
“There are 59 conditions for the approval to make sure the development fits on that site, and we minimise any impacts on the surrounding residential areas.”
Installation is expected to be complete by September.
