The Newcastle Jets are now officially owned by Chinese millionaire Martin Lee & the Ledman Group, with the agreement signed this morning.
During the media conference, Mr Lee announced his plans for the club, which includes sending it to China in August for friendly matches.
He would also like to see Chinese players join the team in the future to attract fans from overseas, and believes the Jets will qualify for the Asian Champions League within three years.
Mr Lee’s Ledman Group is a major lighting manufacturer and already has an extensive football investment portfolio, which includes a Chinese lower-tier club and the naming rights sponsorship for Portugal’s second division.
Mr Lee has given his first TV interview with NBN News. Catch the full interview HERE.
