TOUGH WEEKEND FOR THE NORTH STARS IN AIHL

The Newcastle North Stars have dropped to fourth on the Australian Ice Hockey League ladder, following two losses over the weekend.
On Saturday night, the North Stars took a one-nil lead against Melbourne thanks to Connor McLaughlin.
But the Ice dominated the second period, scoring twice to hit the front.
McLaughlin scored for Newcastle to make it 2-all early in the final term, but the visitors scored the winner just a minute later.
