The students and staff of Medowie Christian College arrived at school this morning, to find wild winds overnight had brought down a large tree.
It landed on the secondary science building – fortunately, the repair bill won’t be too high.
“It really has done only superficial damage only on the top of the roof and the side guttering. Inside it’s got a false ceiling so there’s been no damage inside,” said Deputy Principal Tracey Deal.
SES personnel and arborists were called in to clean up the site.
