TOUGH START FOR RYAN CALLINAN AT J-BAY

Merewether’s Ryan Callinan is facing a sudden death round at the J-Bay Open in South Africa after a tough start to the event.
A 2.5 on his second wave left him in third spot for much of his heat.
While his rivals wracked up fives and sixes, Callinan needed a nine to advance straight to round three, but a five point nine was his best effort.
