A man has appeared in court after he was allegedly found in possession of a number of pills.
About 10.30pm on Friday, police were called to a licensed premises on Wharf Road in Newcastle, where they seized 60 pills believed to be ecstasy.
A 20-year-old was subsequently charged with supplying a prohibited drug.
