Three people have been charged in relation to an armed robbery at a service station on the Gold Coast this morning.
It’s alleged that around 1.30am, a man and a woman entered a service station on the Gold Coast Highway in Burleigh Heads, while a second woman stood by the door.
The first woman allegedly produced a knife and demanded money. The console operator complied, handing over cash.
All three then fled the scene in a vehicle, which police located a short time later at an address in Palm Beach.
A 21-year-old Upper Coomera woman, an 18-year-old Wattle Ridge man, and a 21-year-old Southport woman have each been charged with one count of armed robbery.
They are due to appear in court tomorrow.
