POLICE INVESTIGATING ILLICIT DRUG SUPPLY AT PORT STEPHENS

Two men have been charged, following investigations into the supply of illicit drugs at Port Stephens.

Last Friday, officers arrested a 36-year-old man from Anna Bay after allegedly finding methylamphetamine in his car.

He’ll appear in Newcastle Local Court in September, charged with supplying a prohibited drug.

Meanwhile a home on Scott Circuit at Salamander Bay was also searched, with police allegedly seizing a firearm and cannabis.

The 22-year-old is facing a string of charges including supplying a prohibited drug on an ongoing basis.

Investigations are continuing, with more arrests expected.
