A man has been charged following a siege in Newcastle yesterday.
Shortly before midday on Saturday, police responded to reports of a man refusing to leave a home on Macquarie Street, Wallsend.
Police allege a 42-year-old man became aggressive towards officers and refused to leave, making a number of threats.
Following negotiations, the man was arrested about 5.30pm without incident.
He was charged with destroying or damaging property and served with an AVO.
