The state government’s shark-spotting drone trial, will soon extend to cover Evans Head and Ballina beaches.
It follows initial testing at Byron Bay, Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie.
Each drone will patrol 4-kilometre stretches of beach for a period of four hours.
CASA certified pilots will fly the additional patrols from local surf clubs, which are due to commence next week.
