Olympian Riley Fitzsimmons surprised himself finishing second in the K1-1000 at the opening Canoe Sprint Grand Prix in Adelaide.
He’ll now enjoy the Christmas break at a quiet location near Crescent Head.
His goals in 2017; representing New South Wales in lifesaving, and his country in the World under-23 Kayaking Championships in Romania.
