HOME GROWN MATILDA BACK FOR A CHRISTMAS BREAK

Former W-League Jet, Emily Van Egmond, is back at home in the Hunter for a short holiday during the German competition’s winter break.
The 23-year-old recently left Frankfurt for Wolfsburg and more European Champions League football.
“In terms of challenging myself against the best I think I am and there’s no better way to do it in such a professional club than Wolfsburg.”
Today she put some potential Matildas through their paces.
“I love to come down with the local girls and have some fun and just give a little back to the community, because I grew up playing soccer here and as a kid I really enjoyed it.”
