SAFETY BLITZ NETS DRINK DRIVERS ON THE GOLD COAST

The Christmas Road Safety Campaign has continued to net speeding and drink-driving motorists on the Gold Coast.

In one incident, a 33-year-old woman was charged after allegedly returning a Breath Alcohol Concentration of 0.252, more than five times the legal limit at Burleigh Heads around 6pm last night.

Almost 1,600 speeding motorists were also nabbed across Queensland on day three of the campaign, with one motorist posting 155km/h in a 110km/h zone on the Pacific Motorway at Pimpama.

The campaign continues until January 3.
