MAN FRONTS COURT OVER $50,000 IN STOLEN COPPER WIRE

A man has appeared in court following a break and enter on the Central Coast.

Police were patrolling Woongarrah near Wyong last night, when they approached a man in a silver Holden Commodore.

A search of the vehicle allegedly turned up 30kgs of copper wiring.

Police allege the wire was stolen during a break and enter at a power station in Colongra in January, and is worth approximately $50,000.

A 34-year-old man was charged with receiving stolen property, dealing with proceeds of crime, break and enter, and disposing of stolen property.
