NEWCASTLE NETBALLER TALKS ABOUT TOUGH ROAD TO THE TOP

Newcastle netballer Sam Poolman has opened up about the sacrifices her family made to help her sporting career.
“I was looking at six days a week needing to be in Sydney for training, so my mum or my dad would drive me 2 hours to training, I would train for 2 hours, then they’d drive me 2 hours home.”
Poolman’s Giants lead Super Netball halfway through the inaugural season.
They host Collingwood on Sunday.
