Fort Scratchley put on a show for sailors aboard the HMAS Newcastle as it cruised past Nobbys Beach this afternoon.
A seven gun salute ashore, given a friendly reply from the ship’s ceremonial gun.
The visit comes ahead of Anzac Day commemorations- which will begin with a Freedom of Entry march through Newcastle on Monday.
