A light plane is missing – feared crashed on the far north coast – with one person onboard.
The private aircraft took off from Murwillumbah at around 10am.
The alarm was raised around four hours later when the pilot failed to return.
A local farmer has since reported a plane in distress – an air and ground search is underway.

Did you hear your reporter on this one? Was she trying to turn a sad report into a comedy sketch. “There was one person on board, that being the pilot” Well,you’d hope it was! For Christs sake!
