It’s been labelled the refereeing blunder of the season, and last night it robbed the Newcastle Knights of two points.
The NRL has acted swiftly, dropping Jarrod Maxwell from bunker duties for the rest of the round, but no doubt that’ll come as little comfort to the Knights.
