Roadworks are causing delays on one of Port Macquarie’s main arterial roads.
$1.6 million is being spent upgrading Gordon Street, between Lake Road and Horton Street, to improve safety and pedestrian access.
More than 21,000 vehicles travel along the 250-metre stretch every day.
The work is expected to be finished by September, and motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.
