Police are appealing for information after a man turned up to a Hunter Valley hospital with a gunshot wound.
The 22-year-old arrived at Maitland Hospital just before 5pm yesterday with a single gunshot wound to his left hand.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are unknown and police are urging any witnesses to contact Crime Stoppers.
The man was treated and has since been released.
