DRIVER ALLEGEDLY NINE TIMES OVER THE LIMIT IN COFFS HARBOUR

A driver has allegedly returned a blood-alcohol reading nine times over the legal limit on the mid north coast.

Police say a Holden Cruze was travelling on Lyster Street in Coffs Harbour just before midnight, with its hazard lights on.

Officers stopped the vehicle and the 23-year-old male driver allegedly returned a positive breath test.

His provisional licence has subsequently been suspended and he’s due to appear in Coffs Harbour Local Court next month.
