Police are treating two separate fires at schools on the Gold Coast as suspicious.
Emergency services were called to a school on Oceanic Drive in Mermaid Waters just before 7:30pm on Wednesday, where they found a small fire in one of the classrooms.
The fire was extinguished with only minor damage to the building.
Then shortly after 9pm last night, emergency services were called to a school on Fairway Drive at Clear Island Waters, following reports of another small fire inside a classroom.
There was no structural damage as the fire was extinguished quickly.
Police believe that in both cases, flammable material was pushed under the classroom doors and set alight.
