A cyclist is in hospital with critical injuries, after an accident involving a car on the Gold Coast overnight.
Police say the car and bicycle crashed on the Gold Coast Highway at the intersection of fourth Avenue, just before midnight.
The 46-year-old cyclist was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
The driver of the car, a 55-year-old man, was not injured.
