A woman is in a Gold Coast hospital in a serious condition after being stabbed overnight.
Police responded to reports of an incident at a residence on Snowgum Court in Burleigh Waters just after 8:30pm.
They arrived to find a 56-year-old woman with a number of wounds to her torso and arm, and she was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
Police took a 58-year-old Burleigh Waters woman into custody, and she was charged with one count of grievous bodily harm.
