POLICE INVESTIGATING WEST TAMWORTH STABBINGS

Two men have been stabbed in separate incidents at West Tamworth, with police now working to figure out if the events are linked.

Officers have been told a 27-year-old man gwas involved in an altercation with three men outside his Flemming Crescent home around 4am on Saturday morning, when he was allegedly stabbed by one of the men.

He was taken to Tamworth Hospital with a wound to his upper arm.

Just hours earlier, a 33-year-old man reported to police that he’d been stabbed while walking in the same suburb.

He was taken to hospital for further treatment.
