PILOT INJURED IN FORCED LANDING AT ABERDEEN

The pilot of a light aircraft has been rushed to hospital, following a forced landing in the Upper Hunter.

Bystanders pulled the 78-year-old man from his plane, after it crash-landed in a paddock at Aberdeen, just after 8 o’clock on Saturday night.

Paramedics, alongside the Westpac Rescue Helicopter’s Critical Care Medical Team, stabalised the man, who suffered multiple injuries.

He was flown to Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.

The Australian Transport Safety Bureau will investigate the incident.
